Start the project on robust, configurable, hardware that is ready for scale.
The c2 IoT development platform comes equipped with our c2 baseboard. As suggested by the name, the c2 baseboard is intended to serve as the hardware foundation for any IoT based project; a platform that can be built upon using the c2 software blocks coupled with additional sensors and communication modules as required. This enables time-effective development of proof of concepts, and prototypes. For example, the board pictured is the c2 baseboard synergy variant boasting Renesas Synergy S7 processor as well as an Atmel ATWINC1500 and Silicon Labs BGM11S providing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity respectively. On top of that, onboard sensors consist of a 9 axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and a Temperature sensor, and a PLC PMOD module has been added for extra connectivity.
Can extra sensors and communications be added to the c2 baseboard?
The c2 IoT development was designed with connectivity in mind, and the c2 baseboard is no different. Onboard are 2 PMOD headers which allow for the integration of off-board communication modules or sensor assemblies. Moreover, the board contains IO headers that offer extended functionality such as ADC and PWM.
Is the baseboard customisable?
We know that being able to customise hardware to fit the right form-factor, power requirements, and processing power is crucial to any successful IoT development. The c2 hardware and associated software are modular, so when a bespoke board is needed, minimum customisation from the baseboard to a market-ready product is required.
